Waka Hasegawa 40th birthday concert 26 January


The pianist Waka Hasegawa is celebrating her 40th birthday with a concert on 26 January.

  • Mussorgsky’s famous Pictures at an Exhibition.
  • Chopin’s Scherzo No 4, the Funeral March Sonata No 2, and a selection of Nocturnes.
  • Works by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor.

As well as being a soloist Waka is a member of the piano duo, Piano 4 Hands, with the British pianist Joseph Tong,

Her Undiscovered Piano Works by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor CD is  on the Naxos/Metropolis label.
