Is Clayboard a Remedy to Croydon’s Building Foundations Problems?

The debate about what to do about the dangers of flooding and surface water drainage on foundations of houses in parts of Norbury has raised the question about what solutions there might be where new houses are being built. Attention has been drawn to Clayboard, a product which claims to deal with clay heave for nr buildings including multi-storey blocks.. If it is a solution can the Planners make it a condition that applicants use it or any similar alternatives?

Cllr  Callton Young, a former civil servant who worked on the Race Relations Act following the Stephen Lawrence murder, is to investigate the allegations that the police acted in a racist way over banning black music at the DICE and other venues.

Tories Bogus Campaign for Elected Mayor

Concern is being expressed about the bogus nature of the Tory campaign for an elected Croydon Mayor, especially as the alleged 10 residents associations claimed to support it are not being identified, and the fact that not all the residents associations in the Borough were approached to express a view either way.
