Croydon Black Activists Challenge Bans On Membership of Labour Party

Three of Croydon’s resident black activists are taking leading roles in the campaign to overturn the bans against some of them from being members of the Labour Party.

  • Marc Wadsworth, Co-Chair of Momentum Black ConneXions (MBC), veteran activist and documentary film maker
  • Glen Hart, political officer of RMT London and Southern Region, and former Parliamentary candidate for the Socialist & Trade Union Alliance
  • Genevieve Murray-Dinsmore, ex-Labour Party suspendee and Croydon North Constituency Labour Party Women’s Officer,

Meetings to set up MBS branches in Lambeth and Croydon are taking place on 12 and 14 December (see above).

Parliamentary Answers Show Dangers On Southern

Parliamentary answers reveal GTR/Southern’s plans for Driver Only Trains will increase the dangers and disadvantages faced by disabled and vulnerable .

Train fares will go up  by an average of 2.3% in January, with Southern fares going up by 1.8%.
