Croydon Citizen seeks supporters

Croydon Citizen has just published a bumper issue print edition and its I would make Croydon better by book, of all the suggestions readers have made in the past 2 and a half years. Now it is launching a supporters programme through a monthly subscription. The editorial team wants to double/triple the current 15k print issue circulation), make it larger and recruit a full time staff journalist as an investigative resource and educator to train citizen journalists. Croydon Citizen is a social enterprise. I give history talks and lead history walks. I retired in 2012 having worked in the community/voluntary sector and on heritage projects. My history interests include labour movement, mutuality, Black British, slavery & abolition, Edwardian roller skating and the social and political use of music and song. I have a particular interest in the histories of Battersea and Wandsworth, Croydon and Lambeth. I have a publishing imprint History & Social Action Publications.
