Alison Cousins (Wandle Industrial Museum) will give an illustrated talk on the Lavender Industries of Mitcham.

Saturday 22 July. Old Ashburton Library community event

The Council is planning to unveil the name of the refurbished Old Ashburton Library in Ashburton Park as part of an event aimed at the local community

Doubts are being raised as to whether the work will be ready to enable the planned name unveiling to take place.

My history interests include labour movement, mutuality, Black British, slavery & abolition, Edwardian roller skating and the social and political use of music and song.
